We strive to be a model institution that generates and popularizes evidence-based approaches to foster the sustainable growth of local development institutions and the transformation of rural and urban economies.
Our Mission
Cameroon Development Institute (CDI) is a non-profit and non-political organization based in Buea, Cameroon. Our mission is to carry out in-depth development and policy-oriented research (empirical and otherwise) that leads to pragmatic, transformative and innovative ideas on how to solve problems and challenges facing the poor, marginalized and voiceless.
Organisational Structure
CDI is governed by two organs: A General Assembly and a Board of Trustees. The General Assembly is the supreme policymaking and review organ, while the Board of Trustees serves as custodian of CDI’s financial viability. The first is an elective organ, while the second is nominative and brings together women and men of goodwill who believe in the goals of CDI and are prepared to provide needed support in terms of resources, time and referrals.
